Melbourne City Delight

LOCATION:  Melbourne City - Boat House Drive

DESCRIPTION: Get up and close to yachts, ferries and ships while taking in views of South Bank and the City of Melbourne skyline.

This kayak tour starts in the city centre, on the Yarra River. After a gearing you up, adjusting your rudders and a safety talk, you jump on the water.

You then pass past many historical features along the banks of the yarra River. Including the former Customs House, turning basin, historical ships like the Pollywoodside, former waterfall and "Mission for Seamen".

Historical commentary of the old dock areas is provided along the way.

Half way through the tour the group stops for a delicious Thai lunch and drink on the waters edge. The group then returns back to the start.

This is one of the premier experiences of people wanting to explore Melbourne. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

This tour is designed for people with little kayaking experience and who like a unique experience of kayaking then having lunch on the waters edge.

The tour is 3 hours duration with 2 hours of paddling time.

Group discount for 10 or more people.

Discounted pricing for child 12-15 years old is $96, must be in a double kayak with an adult.

This is the centre of Melbourne so there is lots of vibrant activity. Historical commentary on the old docks area is provided along the way. There is a rest stop, half way through the tour, to stretch your legs and have a snack and drink.

This tour is designed for people with little kayaking experience and who like to paddle in comfort without waves or sea spray.

The tour is 2.5 hours duration with 2 hours of paddling time.

Group discount for 10 or more people.

Discounted pricing for child 12-15 years old is $76, must be in a double kayak with an adult.

Half Day Tour - St Kilda

St Kilda beach is the hub of Melbourne in spring/summer so there is always alot to see and experience.

After a gearing you up, adjusting your rudders and a safety talk, you jump on the water. The adventure begins with a paddle towards the St Kilda Pier and kiosk. This area is protected by a break water so there is lots of time to get use to your double kayak and develop your paddling skills. See penguins along the break water, people fishing, kiteboards, people playing the drums etc.

The group then ventures out beyong the break water and experiences small swell as they make their way up towards Port Melbourne. You get great views of Melbourne City, Williamstown and Port Melbourne as you paddle along.

Half way through the tour you stop at Middle Park for lunch. Gourmet rolls and a drink is provided on the beach. There is a chance to socialise with your fellow paddlers.

The group then paddles back to the start.

This tour is a sampler of what sea kayaking is like with out getting too tired and still having fun.

This is a 3.5 hour tour with 2.5 hours of paddling time.
