    Dragons Lair is a backbeach dive on the Lonsdale side. It is a good place to spot and catch crays, but is also a great photography site, with Weedy Seadragons often being seen, hence the name.

    Divers have the opportunity to catch crayfish at this site. REMEMBER your fishing licence and cray tags and abide by all current fishing regulations if you intend to catch crays.

    Lying on its side in 28-33 Metres. The wreck is 67M in length and provides advanced divers with an abundance of marine life and colour. The boilers and bow are still in tact. Great site for photos!!

    Lonsdale Wall is one if the best dive locations is Australia is it has kelp beds at 13M and drop offs and caverns down to 100M. The high currents in the area create a unique undersea adventure on every dive. Best dived at slack water.

    Marine Park

    Queenscliff Harbour 1345 Portsea Pier 1405

    The Playground, also known as The Maze, presents an incredible opportunity to observe crayfish. It is situated within the shipping channel just outside Port Phillip Heads on Rip Bank, making it an ideal dive spot for experienced divers. Rip Bank itself forms a wall that stretches from east to west, with deeper waters to the north. Consequently, it is recommended to embark on this dive during the incoming or flood tide.

    This underwater adventure commences at a depth of 15 meters, starting at the crest of the wall. As you venture over the drop-off, the depth gradually descends to around 50 meters. The underwater terrain undergoes intriguing changes as you descend, showcasing small caves and overhangs adorned with a thriving fish population. This dive location is often celebrated as one of the most visually stunning experiences in the Port Phillip region.

    Along the wall sits some chain links from a ship, a lovely spot to see lots of color, sponges, kelp hanging over ledges, fishlife and maybe a cray.

    Divers have the opportunity to catch crayfish at this site. REMEMBER your fishing licence and cray tags and abide by all current fishing regulations if you intend to catch crays.

    Queenscliff Harbour 1130 Portsea Pier 1150

    Located off Collendina on the Barwon Coast,  18 Metre Reef is situated just beyond Port Phillip Heads in Bass Strait. Positioned within an expanse of scattered reef, the depths in this area range from 12 to 18 meters. It is well-known for its abundance of Crayfish and Abalone, with the possibility of encountering Weedy Seadragons.

    Featuring rock formations and bommies that rise from the seabed to a maximum depth of 18 meters, the underwater landscape comprises ledges adorned with kelp, as well as cracks and crevasses. These natural formations create an ideal sanctuary for various fish and critters, offering them protection when needed. Among the marine life, delicate fans, soft corals, and species like the Southern Blue Devil are commonly observed in the shelter of the ledges and overhangs.

    While the area is generally unaffected by strong currents, it's important to note that, like many dives close to the shore, the site may experience surge conditions.

    Positioned just to the north of the Lonsdale wall system, The Steps boasts remarkable underwater terrain. The dive commences at a depth of 17 meters and progressively descends, revealing an intricate landscape adorned with massive overhangs, intricate gullies, and an abundance of caves. When heading south, divers will encounter deeper waters, with the most captivating portions of the dive located between 20 and 30 meters.

    Every step of this dive site teems with marine life, taking refuge in small crevices and under overhangs. Additionally, the area is known for its crayfish population, adding to the diverse and captivating underwater experience.
